Threads of (Dis)Integration

”I am because we are” Ubuntu Philosophy. “My life, like a tapestry, has threads that have encoded themselves in me and shown themselves throughout my web of people, materials, experiences, feelings and places. Strands pass through barely perceptible pinoles and permeable cells, creating conjunctions to be investigated, interwoven or reworked. Hume says “All ideas emerge from conjunction.” My art exhibition currently on display at Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship is like a book composed of pages, concepts, and images..”

Pinky received her MFA in Photography at age 50 and has had over 40 solo/duo exhibitions as well as work in numerous museums and collections. She recently was awarded an Alabama State Arts Council Impact Award. She spent her early years during WWII in Fairhope and returned hereto lived in the late 80s.
