Frye Gaillard will select stories from his most recent book, Heroes and Other Mortals. This is a collection of inspiring profiles Gaillard has written throughout his career, telling the stories of activists, artists, musicians and others who worked to make the world a better place. 

Frye lives in Mobile, Alabama, and is the writer-in-residence in the English and History departments at the University of South Alabama. He is the author of thirty books, the winner of the Lillian Smith Book Award and the Gustavus Myers Award.
