He will tell true stories of Fairhope’s literary beginnings with Marie Howland and Upton Sinclair through today’s local writers\, including Sonny Brewer\, Fannie Flagg and so many more. \n\n\n\nAlan Samry is a writer\, librarian\, public historian and author of Fairhope Past and Present\, Mapping Fairhope\, and Stump the Librarian\, a memoir\, and history of leg amputees\, was published in 2018. Alan and his wife Susan have called Fairhope home since 2005.
